Subject: The Facebook revolution finally taking root in Zimbabwe
To: email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org
When Egypt and Tunisia had the Arab spring and the Occupy Movement
took over the world, inspired Zimbabweans tried to copy the mass
mobilization but nothing worked despite the enthusiasm.
The mobilization failed because;
i. The internet penetration was still low in Zimbabwe,
ii. There was no convergence of ideas, people were pulling in
iii. and there was no leader or icon to rally behind.
Now the internet penetration is now high, having reached the most
remote of places and the smartphones have increased.
Despite many bloggers & Facebook groups expounding different
ideologies, there has risen a regime change agenda being aggressively
promoted by one Baba Jukwa.
It may not be the best topic but it has proven enough a rallying point
for Zimbabweans. Baba Jukwa has also become the icon of the agenda.
Copycats, pro-revolutionaries, counter-revolutionaries and neutral
analysts have cropped up and the cyberspace is now alive which is a
major boom for Zim ICT industry
